Endoscopy Precautions

Pre-Exam Precautions

If you have a respiratory, kidney, liver, or heart condition, special care is needed. Please be sure to inform the medical staff of any such condition before your procedure.

The exam may be limited at the medical staff's discretion for elderly patients, frail patients, those with cardiopulmonary conditions, or based on other relevant medical history.

Loose teeth or dentures may limit sedated endoscopy or upper endoscopy.

We will proceed after consulting with the medical staff.

If undergoing sedated endoscopy, please remove any nail art (manicure, gel nails, etc.) before your visit.

!

Nail art must be removed from your right index finger in particular.
