Checkup Guidance

The Day Before Your Checkup

Please avoid meat, alcohol, and overexertion for 2–3 days before your health checkup.

Eat a light dinner before 8:00 PM. Water only may be consumed until midnight after your meal; please fast after midnight.

If you are scheduled for a colonoscopy, please follow the separate colonoscopy preparation guide.

On the Day of Your Checkup

Please do not eat or drink anything on the morning of your checkup.

※ This includes cigarettes, beverages, coffee, and gum.

If You Are Taking Medication

Medication Guidance

If you are taking blood pressure medication, please take it with a small amount of water on the morning of your checkup (around 6:00 AM).

If you are taking diabetes medication, please take it as usual until the day before your checkup. Do not take it on the morning of your checkup, as fasting may cause low blood sugar.

Anticoagulants / Antiplatelet Medications:

If you were unable to pause this medication, please be sure to inform our staff on the day of your checkup. Because biopsies carry a risk of bleeding, please consult with the physician who prescribed your medication before stopping it.

Information for Women

Certain test items may be limited if you are pregnant, may be pregnant, menstruating, or breastfeeding. If any of these apply to you, please inform our staff before your checkup.

For accurate results, it's best to schedule your checkup 5 days after your period ends.

Please refrain from sexual intercourse and vaginal suppository use within 24 hours before your Pap smear (cervical cancer screening).

Additional Notes

Additional Notes

1

Please bring a valid form of ID for identity verification. (Only resident registration card, driver's license, passport, alien registration card, domestic residence report certificate, or mobile ID are accepted.)

2

Checkup duration: approximately 2–4 hours. (May take longer depending on the type of checkup.)

3

If your checkup includes a lower abdominal (prostate/uterine) ultrasound, please urinate first thing on the morning of your checkup, then hold your urine before arriving, to improve accuracy.

4

If you have had a hypersensitive reaction to any medication in the past, please be sure to inform our staff.

5

If undergoing sedated endoscopy, a guardian must accompany you. For elderly patients, frail patients, those with cardiopulmonary conditions, or other relevant medical history, the exam may be restricted for safety reasons at the medical staff's discretion if no guardian is present.

!

You may not drive on the day of your sedated endoscopy (per Article 45 of the Road Traffic Act).

6

7

If you would like additional tests, please make a reservation in advance.

8

For any changes or cancellations, please contact us at least 3 days before your scheduled comprehensive checkup.

9

Please wear light, comfortable clothing on the day of your checkup. Accessories (rings, necklaces, watches, piercings, etc.) and other metal items may interfere with testing, so please leave valuables you're concerned about losing at home.

10

If undergoing sedated endoscopy, please remove any nail art

!

(manicure, gel nails, etc.) before your visit.

11
